Cheniere Launches Collaboration with SEMPCheck to Quantify, Monitor, Report and Verify GHG Emissions

SEMPCheck has been selected to provide methane emission detection technology in support of Cheniere Energy's ongoing quantification, monitoring, reporting and verification (QMRV) research and development program.  We are honored to work with a company so dedicated to exporting clean burning U.S. natural gas and proud of the proven expertise of our technicians, processes, and our proprietary software systems.

SEMPCheck expands further into the Permian Basin

In the first month of 2022 SEMPCheck expanded its risk mitigation management services deeper into the Permian Basin.  Our onsite inspection services have once again proven successful in locating and measuring fugitive gas leaks, tagging equipment and then verifying repairs.  These new experiences come as we continue to develop more opportunities to expand our risk mitigation and ESG support services further onshore.  We look forward to assisting our Permian Basin clients to execute their environmental, social and governance programs by providing the same level of commitment, expertise, and best in class service that our current clients have come to know and expect.

SEMPCheck’s ASNT-certified technicians are assisting in the identification and reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions specific to Cheniere’s LNG supply chain.  Our proprietary software tracks fugitive emissions from the initial point of monitoring to final component repair verification.  It provides accurate, quantitative leak rate measurements for individual fugitive leaks; inclusive of critical equipment, wells, process vents, internal valves and tank tops.

Our ASNT inspectors use flow-through emission rate meters, calibrated bags, the FLIR QL320 quantitative OGI system and fit-for-purpose emission measurement technologies.  Our processes offer online analyses via a centralized database for communicating emission survey results, tracking repairs, and facilitating regulatory reporting.  When onsite we use our configurable data entry software on handheld devices to ensure consistent data capture and enabling real time data synchronization.
